Description

Ashley Manor is a house dating to circa 1844. It is constructed of chequerwork brick, with the front rendered and colourwashed, and has a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and arranged as a three-pile, three-bay composition. The front elevation features three gables, with a slightly projecting, weatherboarded, pedimented porch in the centre. This porch contains half-glazed double doors, a rectangular four-pane fanlight, and side lights. Large twelve-pane sash windows are present on each side, each with a rubbed brick arch and 19th-century sliding louvred shutters. On the first floor, three smaller similar windows are found with a small iron balcony. A small central gable is topped with stacks on the outer ridges.
