Description

Rooksbury Mill is an 18th-century mill, with later 19th-century additions. The original, wider part of the mill is two storeys and has an attic, while a later tower is attached to the north and rises three storeys with an attic. The roofs are tiled, with the south end being half-hipped and the east side having a low eaves design. The tower roof is tiled with stepped brick eaves. The walls are red brick, exhibiting a header bond pattern in the central section above the arched waterway, and English bond elsewhere. Openings are cambered. Most windows are of cast iron, though some smaller wooden casements have been added later. Inside, an open timber frame is exposed, now forming a large room containing a fireplace.
