Description

This is an early 19th-century cottage located on Monxton Chalkpit Lane. It is constructed of cob with a thatched roof. The front (south-facing) elevation is of one storey and attic, featuring three windows. The roof is half-hipped, with the timber framing exposed in the upper gables, a catslide at the rear, and raised eaves above the upper windows. The walls are rendered above a flint base. The windows are casements, with old upper lights. A wooden porch with a gable and a boarded door are also present.
