Description
Norman Court is a house dating from the early 18th century, with alterations and extensions added in the mid 19th century. It is constructed of brick and tile and features a regular front (south) elevation with two storeys and an attic, comprising seven windows. The hipped roof includes three mid 19th century gabled dormers with cills at the eaves level. The walls are made of blue headers with flush red quoins, and there are rubbed flat arches with rounded heads over the keys, a projecting band at the first floor, a plinth, and stone cills. On the west side, two openings on the ground floor have been partly filled. The windows are Victorian casements. The entrance features a Victorian classical doorcase with a pediment, pilasters, panelled reveals, a fanlight, and a door with four horizontal panels. The east wall has similar architectural features, including two filled openings and a Victorian window above a doorway. The rear of the house has mid 19th century extensions, which include ground floor sash windows.
