Description
No. 90 High Street is a building that dates from the 16th century, 18th century, and early 19th century. It is a timber-framed structure with two storeys, which has been refronted in brick, except for a gable at the rear. The building features a tile roof and red brickwork in Flemish bond, with a cambered ground floor opening on the east side. There are two upper wedge-shaped casements supported by coupled brackets, along with one upper sliding sash window. The central doorcase includes a cornice on brackets, an architrave, and a six-panelled door. The Victorian shopfront is of slender proportions and includes a cornice, frieze, four half columns, and a plinth. The rendered west elevation is adjacent to a flight of steps leading to the churchyard.
