Description

Kingfisher Lodge is an 18th-century cottage, possibly with earlier origins. It is constructed of brick and has a thatched roof. The building sits on a ground slope that descends steeply from left to right. The cottage is irregular in shape, comprising five bays originally, with additional bays added to the left and right, along with a 20th-century garage door in an open-hipped porch on the left and in the inner end of the right bay. Each bay features two two-light casement windows, except for the right-centre bay which contains a single window. Windows in each bay are set at different levels. There are eyebrow dormers with two-light casements in the central three bays, and the roof is half-hipped, with a stack situated at the left end of the original section and to the right of the centre bay.
