Description
All Saints' Church is a large church located on Church Hill in Milford on Sea. It features a nave with aisles, transepts, north and south chapels, a chancel, and a west tower topped with a later short recessed spire. The exterior showcases a mix of part exposed masonry and rendered surfaces, both roughcast and smooth, with a tiled roof. The south arcade and the arches leading into the transepts date back to around 1170, while the north arcade and the tower with flanking outshuts are from around 1200. The chancel and the north and south chapels were built in the late 13th century. Most of the church is designed in the Early English style, incorporating some late Norman elements from an earlier church. Inside, there is a notable picture of the Virgin and Child by Perugino. All Saints' Church is part of a group that includes Old Walls Farmhouse, the Milford House Hotel, and Orchard Cottage on Greenbanks Close.
