Description

This is a 17th-century timber-framed house, originally a lobby-entrance design, with significant alterations in the early 19th century and minor extensions to the rear in the 20th century. The timber frame is partially exposed, with painted brick infill and boarded outshots. The roof is thatched, featuring eyebrow dormers, with a lower profile on the south side and hip ends. The west-facing elevation is wide, spanning one-and-a-half storeys and featuring two windows above three, along with a large projecting outshot to the south. The windows are 20th-century leaded casements, and there is one small, original window set low beneath the eaves and above the porch. A 20th-century timber-framed porch fronts the house.
