Description

The Laurels is a former manse of a non-conformist church, now a private house. It was built in the early 19th century with a later addition and was restored in the late 20th century. The building is constructed of rendered brick and has a slate roof. It is two stories high with three bays, and features a one-and-a-half-story, two-bay addition at one end. The front of the house has a central trellis porch with a six-panel double door underneath. There are five Gothic-style, two-light pointed casements. The roof is hipped with end stacks. The right-hand addition includes a wide canted bay window with a hipped roof and sash windows, along with end stacks.
