Description

April Cottage and The Bridge Cottage are two adjoining buildings located on the south side of High Street in Milford on Sea. They feature a facade dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century, constructed of painted brick and topped with a steeply pitched, old tiled roof. An off-centre, cruciform stack indicates that part of the building may date back to the 17th century. The cottages are two storeys high and have two dormers, with a total of five windows, one of which is blank. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, while the ground floor includes two bow windows that are modern reproductions. The eastern doorway is topped with a flat hood. These cottages are part of a group that includes Bay Trees Restaurant and several other buildings of local interest.
