Description

April Cottage and Sunnymead are two adjoining cottages dating back to the 17th century. They are constructed of rendered stone and cob, with asbestos slate roofs, featuring a gable end on the right-hand side. Sunnymead has a rear stack, while the cottage to its left has a front lateral stack with offsets and a rendered brick shaft. The cottage on the right is a single-cell design, while the cottage to the left has two cells, separated by a passageway. The cottages are two storeys high and feature a three-window facade. The windows are 20th-century 2-light casements with four panes per light. A small dairy window is located at the left end, and two similar 2-light casements are situated on either side of a central doorway that leads to the passageway.
