Description

Rose Cottage is a late 18th-century house, extended in the 19th century. It is constructed of brick, incorporating some blue bricks, and has a plain tile roof. The house is two storeys and three bays, with a 19th-century bay added to the left-hand side and a one-and-a-half storey bay added to the right-hand side. The front elevation features a central 20th-century door within an older frame, set beneath a flat hood. Flanked on either side are 16-pane sash windows under rubbed brick arches. To the left of the door is an arch of brick, forming an opening. A first-floor band incorporating blue brick decoration runs around the front. Above, there are three 2-light casements under rubbed brick arches, with raised brick eaves. The left-hand bay has similar 19th-century windows. The right-hand bay has a 16-pane sash window under a rubbed brick arch and a raised band above. End stacks are present.
