Description

Flint Cottage is a cottage that was originally a pair of cottages known as 'Orne'. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of stone, brick, and thatch. The building has a square shape with a pyramid-shaped thatched roof and a central rendered chimney stack. It is two storeys high and features two windows. The front wall is made of mixed stone rubble, while the sides are constructed from limestone rubble, with flint galletted joints and red brick dressings. The single-storeyed outshots have red brick walls. The entrances are located at the sides of the cottage, now found in the outshots.
