Description
Gothic Lodge is a house built in the Tudor Gothic style around 1830. It is constructed of stucco and features a slate roof. The west facade is symmetrical, consisting of two storeys above a high basement, with a window arrangement of 1.1.1. The projecting wings have low-pitched gables adorned with decorative bargeboards, and there is a smaller gablet at the recessed center. The openings are topped with Tudor arches, with the central ground floor window featuring a hoodmould, while the sides have two-storeyed splayed bays. The building has a high plinth and basement windows, with casement windows throughout. There is a side entrance located within an outshot, which has a gabled parapet and a boarded door. The terracotta Tudor flues have projecting end stacks that include a quatrefoil panel with a shield. The east elevation is also symmetrical, featuring three gables, with the central gable being smaller, and pointed-arched niches above each side window, both of which have hoodmoulds.
