Description

This is a late 18th-century house located on the south side of Queen Street in Emsworth. The house is built of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a hipped roof and brick dentil eaves. The roof is tiled. The symmetrical front (north-facing elevation) has two storeys and three windows. The first floor features rubbed Venetian openings, with a central arched window. The ground floor has two angular bays with sash windows. The front door is set within a wood doorcase featuring an open pediment, a broken cornice, fluted pilasters, and an arched opening with a radiating fanlight. The door is a six-panelled design, approached by four stone steps with wrought-iron plain side rails.
