Description

The Crooked House is an early 19th-century house located on the south side of Queen Street, Emsworth. The house is constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with blue brick headers. It has a hipped slate roof and brick dentil eaves. The symmetrical north front features two storeys and three windows. The windows are sashes in exposed frames, with two angular bays on the ground floor, each with a cornice. The wooden doorcase has a cornice, frieze, and reeded pilasters. It contains a later three-panelled door with a top-glazed panel, accessed by stone steps with wrought iron side rails.
