Description
Warblington Castle Farmhouse is a house located on the east side of the former Castle courtyard, primarily dating from the early 17th century. It is constructed with squared stones taken from the ruined Tudor mansion, along with some brickwork, and features a tiled roof. The front of the house has two storeys and an attic, with five upper windows and a large half-hipped roof. The stonework is roughly coarsed, and there is a moulded dripmould at the first floor, a plinth, and altered openings in the lower wall, indicating it may be part of the Castle. The windows are casements.
The main entrance features an early 19th-century yellow brick porch with a gable, a stone lintel carved in the style of a four-centred arch, arched side windows, a plinth, and a new panelled door. The north gable is made of brickwork in English bond, with bands at the first and second floor levels, and has an attached tapered stack along with old casements. The east elevation includes a catslide roof, two hipped roofed dormers for the attic, and a small cabled dormer for the first floor. The rear stone wall supports three roofs—two hipped and one gabled—and features a large Gothic window from the 19th century.
