Description

Brain's Cottages is an early 19th-century building that originally consisted of three units but has been converted into two. It is a single storey with an attic and features three windows. The roof is covered with red tiles, and there are brick dentil eaves. The building has three gabled dormers with tiled fronts and cheeks, as well as cills at eaves level. The brickwork is painted and laid in Flemish bond, with a cement plinth at the base. The windows are modern square-leaded casements. There is a plain door leading to Wilcuma and an older door to April, which has had recent rear extensions. The cottages are included for their group value.
