Description

Forge Cottage is a late 18th-century building that was originally two cottages. It stands two storeys high and features four ground-floor windows. The western half has a tiled roof, while the eastern half is thatched and includes eyebrow dormers. The walls are made of red brick laid in Flemish bond with blue headers, and the ground-floor openings are cambered. The windows are casements, and there is a plain door. Attached to the west is a forge building from the mid-19th century, constructed of brick and tile, which has group value with Forge Cottage.
