Description

East Oakley House is an 18th-century building with additions dating to 1910, situated on Rectory Road in Oakley and Deane. Originally a north front of two storeys and four windows, the building features forward projections added in the 1910s on both sides. It has a slate roof, stucco walls with a first-floor band, stone cills, and a high plinth. The windows are sash windows in reveals, with a wide, angular bay on the west side. A 1910 porch projects, featuring a cornice with a segmented centre and a bolection architrave. Later additions include a north-south wing on the west and a smaller wing on the east. These wings have slate roofs with a moulded eaves cornice and a series of four small gables. The upper walling of these additions is rendered, while the lower section is red brick with short buttresses and pilasters. Ornamental brick stacks and casement windows are also present.
