Description

Welford House is a mid-19th century cottage located near Heckfield Heath. It presents a near-symmetrical front (north elevation) with a later wing set back on the east end. The building is two storeys high and has a front facade of 1.3 windows. The roof is tiled and features three gables, with the later wing having hips and a gable front. The walls are red brick in a Flemish bond, featuring cambered openings. The windows are casements, and a central bay has an angular design with hipped roofing in scalloped tiles. An east-side doorway is topped with a hood supported by brackets and contains a glazed door.
