Description

Giffard House is an 18th-century building located on the west side of Church Street in Crondall. It has two storeys and a basement, featuring two windows. The roof is covered with red tiles and has double gables at each end, which include chimneys. The exterior is made of painted brick in Flemish bond, with flat rubbed arches on the ground floor. Above these arches, there are projecting architrave mouldings crafted from cut brickwork. The windows are casements, with three lights on the first floor and two lights with small panes on the ground floor. The doorway is framed simply and features a canopy supported by brackets, a six-panelled door, and stone steps leading up to it. The building also has cellars.
