Description

The cartshed at Lodge Farm, located to the north of the farmhouse, dates from the 18th century. It is a barn-like structure with five bays and an aisle on the north side, featuring an open south face. The building has a Queen Post frame with straight struts and curved struts connecting the eaves to the verticals on the open side. The roof is covered with red tiles and is half-hipped, extending to low eaves over the aisles. The aisle walls are constructed of red brickwork, which continues around the gable ends beneath the weather boarded upper walls.
