Description

The Church of the Holy Trinity is a Grade II* listed building located on Trinity Green. Originally built in 1696, it served as the town church, replacing Alverstoke St Marys. The church underwent enlargements in 1734 and around 1835, and it was restored in 1887 by Sir Arthur Blomfield, who also designed the detached campanile tower completed in 1889. The exterior features a red brick basilica in an Italianate style, highlighted by the tower. Inside, the aisles are separated from the nave by Ionic columns from the original building, giving the interior a typical late 17th-century appearance.
