Description
The Old Lodge is a 17th-century red-brick building, the front of which has been painted. It has a tiled roof and two storeys with an attic. The eaves cornice extends upwards over the gable end, with one hipped dormer window. Originally, it had four windows, with pilasters flanking a single bay and the east end. A large, modern bay window has been added. Later additions are present at the rear. The building forms a group with numbers 3 to 39 (odd), Old Clarendon House, numbers 2, 6 and 8, numbers 14 to 18 (even), numbers 22 to 26 (even), Rockstone House, and numbers 5 to 11 (odd), including The Old Lodge Cottage. Numbers 14 to 18 (even) and 22 to 26 (even) are buildings of local interest.
