Description

The gate piers at No 61 (Uplands) are large octagonal structures dating from the earlier to mid-19th century. They are constructed of knapped flint with white brick quoins and feature small stone plinths. The piers have rendered cornices and caps topped with ball finials. Together with No 61 (Uplands), No 67, and the gate piers at Uplands, they form a group with Uplands Cottage and Old Trunpike.
