Description
The Two Chapels at Fareham Cemetery, built in 1889, are linked by a gatehouse that spans the drive. Constructed from flint with stone dressings, the chapels feature tiled roofs. Each chapel has an advanced gabled bay with a window in the Decorated style, showcasing cusped tracery in both lights and a quatrefoil above. The ends of the chapels are apsidal. The gatehouse features a large central gabled arch with a shield and scroll above, flanked by smaller, shallower side arches. The roof has a lower ridge from which rises a short octagonal spire, adorned with miniature Gothic louvres below.
