Description
The stable block located 10 metres north-west of Coldrey Farm dates from around 1700, with early and mid-19th century additions. It features brick walls and a slate roof. The building is rectangular, with the eastern half of the south front being the earliest section. This part has a window on either side of a central doorway, constructed in Flemish bond with blue headers, and includes a first-floor band, cambered openings, and a plinth. The western half, added in the early 19th century, contains a hay-loft door and three ground floor stable doors, also in Flemish bond with a plinth. The rear section is a narrower block from the mid-19th century, which has an upper floor and cartshed openings on most of the ground floor. The double pile roof has different pitches and is hipped at the west end.
