Description
Deanlands Farmhouse is a 17th and 18th century timber-framed house that has later been clad in brick. The building has two storeys and features three windows. It is topped with an old tile roof that is hipped on the east side and has low eaves at the rear, with brick-dentil eaves at the front. A massive tapered stack made of old bricks is attached to the west end gable. The red brick walling on the front is laid in Flemish bond, while the side walls are in English bond. The ground-floor openings are cambered and have stone cills and a plinth. The bricks are incised with "RM 1767." The windows are sashes in exposed frames, with casements on the sides and rear. The entrance features a wide solid doorframe with a modern moulded canopy supported by open brackets, above an old six-panelled door, two of which are glazed.
