Description

The Church of St. Nicholas is a Grade II listed building dating from the 12th century, with significant alterations made in 1847. The church features a Norman aisleless nave and chancel that has been refaced, but the original chancel arch remains intact, showcasing decorative outer moulding and cushion caps above inset columns. The west door is old, though it has likely been repositioned. Attached to the north-west corner is a 'restoration' tower topped with a 'helm' roof. The exterior is characterized by red tile roofing and walls made of flint with stone dressings, all designed in a neo-Norman round-arched style.
