Description
West Lodge and gate piers were built between 1899 and 1901 by R. Selden Wornum. The structure is made of red brick with stone dressings. The lodge features boxed eaves and a plain tiled roof, with two moulded and shafted brick stacks on the ridge. It has an H-plan layout with gabled projections and is a single storey. There is a square bay on the end of the left projection and a deep rounded bay on the end of the right. The lodge has iron casement windows and a door located in a central recess. To the south-west, there are four banded red brick and stone gate-piers, each with stone pedestals, moulded cornices, and ball-finials.
