Description
Lyde Mill House is a building that dates from the 17th century, with later additions from the late 18th century and modern alterations. It stands two storeys high, featuring a central timber-framed section. On the south side, there is a later extension that has a symmetrical facade with three windows. To the east, there is a large L-shaped modern wing. The roof is tiled, with both hipped and half-hipped sections. The northern part of the house has an exposed brick-nogged frame and irregularly spaced casement windows. The south elevation is constructed of red brick in English bond, with cambered openings and sash windows. There is a "Georgian" doorway located in the modern section of the building.
