Description

Steeles Farmhouse is a 17th-century building with alterations made in the early and mid-19th century. Originally a narrow single-storey and attic block, it has a later two-storey, three-window extension attached to the south of the east end. The roof is tiled, with a low-pitched slate roof to the extension, incorporating one gabled and one hipped dormer window, both with cills at eaves level. A shafted stack is also present. The walls are roughcast, with two end walls tile-hung. The older part of the farmhouse has casement windows, while the later extension has sash windows. A solid porch with a gable, cambered arch, and a six-panelled door is a prominent feature.
