Description
The Old Cottage is a building dating from the 17th century, 18th century, and early 19th century. It features a symmetrical front on the northwest side, with one storey and an attic, and has two windows along with extensions at each end. The roof is hipped and thatched, with eaves raised above the upper windows. Although part of the original timber frame remains inside, the exterior is clad in header bond brickwork, accented with red rubbed brick arches and a flush band at the first floor. The south side extension is constructed in Flemish bond with blue headers, while the rear showcases flint walling with brick dressings. The windows are casements, and there is a modern brick porch topped with a thatched roof.
