Description
Ashmansworth Manor is an early 19th-century building, with elements from around 1900 and more recent additions. It features a symmetrical front on the southeast side, consisting of two storeys and an attic, with three windows. The hipped tile roof includes three gabled dormers with casement windows. The walls are made of red brick laid in Flemish bond, with rubbed flat arches and stone cills, sitting on a high plinth. The Victorian sash windows are set within reveals. The entrance has a doorcase topped with a large moulded canopy supported by carved brackets, a decorated frieze, panelled pilasters, a plain fanlight, and a half-glazed door, all above stone steps. The other sides of the building have flint walls accented with red brick quoins and bands, while the lower rear sections, dating from around 1900 and more recent, are designed in a similar style.
