Description
This is an 18th and early 19th century house with a lower wing extending to the north. The house is two storeys and has an attic, while the wing is single-storey with an attic. The symmetrical west front has two, one, and then two windows. The wing has four windows and a single hipped roofed dormer. The roof is steep and slate-covered, with half-hipped sections and substantial end stacks. Moulded eaves run along the top. The walls are stuccoed, with a band marking the first floor and a plinth at the base. Windows are sash windows set in exposed frames, with the first floor centre window arched. A porch features a semicircular cornice made of thin mouldings, two thin cast-iron Tuscan Order columns, two pilasters, and shelters an older wooden architrave and a six-panelled door. The east-facing garden elevation has a semicircular south side with three windows, a parapet with coping, a heavy moulded cornice, and bands marking the first floor. Windows are simple sashes in reveals. A small Greek-style porch is present. The property includes an underground ice cellar and red brick kitchen garden walls, which terminate in pillars.
