Description
Summerstead Farmhouse is a 17th and 18th century, two-storey house that has been extended southward, resulting in an irregular arrangement of windows. The building features a massive tile roof that is hipped at the north end and also hipped over a short projecting west wing. A tapered stack is attached to the south gable. The north gable showcases a bricknogged exposed timber frame, while the rest of the walls are constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, with cambered openings on the ground floor. The windows are casements, and there is a coupled 19th-century doorway with a tiled canopy and boarded doors.
