Description

An early 19th-century mill with an attached house, now combined into a single dwelling. The building comprises a two-storey and attic mill, and a lower two-storey house. The roof has four hips on the double-gabled house front, and a hipped dormer window on the mill. The upper walls of the mill are weather-boarded, while the lower walls are red brick in English bond. The house section has brick walling in Flemish bond, with cambered openings, a plinth, and some altered walling. Modern casement windows and a plain doorway are present. Inside, there is heavy timber framing, and the original water channel remains, although the wheel has been removed. The ground floor of the mill is a single room with wall-mounted iron wheels retained as decorative features.
