Description
Mitchells is an early 19th-century building located on Hill Road in Oakley and Deane. It features a symmetrical front with two storeys and three windows. The roof is hipped and covered with tiles, and there are brick dentil eaves. The walls are made of red brick laid in Flemish bond, with a first-floor band, rubbed flat arches, stone cills, and a plinth. The windows are sashes set in reveals. A thin Doric porch with two columns and two half-columns leads to a six-panelled door, which has two top-glazed panels. The forecourt is enclosed by a brick wall with stone-capped piers, which is lowered in the center and has wrought-iron rails. There is a small stable block at the rear on the west side, which has been altered.
