Description
The Island is a building dating from 1753, featuring two storeys and an attic with four windows. It has a half-hipped tile roof, which includes a hipped dormer on the east side. The middle chimney stack has a stone panel inscribed with "TW1753" (indicating Wallip). The building has moulded brick eaves and is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond with blue headers. The ground floor has cambered openings and a plinth. Windows are casements, and there is one French door on the west side. The entrance features an old six-panelled door set in a solid frame, which is sheltered by a modern gabled porch. Additionally, there is a modern flat-roofed verandah at the west end.
