Description

Number 55 is a mid-17th century building that underwent extensive renovations in the mid-19th century. It is part of a short terrace and features one storey and an attic with five windows. The roof is half-hipped and covered in tiles, with a catslide at the rear and gabled dormers that have cills at eaves level. The walls are made of flint with red brick dressings, including quoins, verticals on each side of the openings, heads and cills, and a plinth. The windows are casements with cast-iron frames. There are two gabled porches, one of which is now glazed.
