Description

Kingsclere House, now divided into two dwellings, dates to the early 19th century with later 19th-century extensions. It is a large house constructed over an older core and extended on two sides. The property has two storeys and an attic. The fenestration is now irregular, with sash windows and dormers featuring pediments, all beneath a hipped tile roof. The walls are rendered, with a parapet raised to a pediment at the centre of the symmetrical south elevation, a brick band, and much of the first floor tile-hung. There are two rectangular brick bays with a cornice and pilasters, and one angular bay. The main entrance is a brick porch with a pediment featuring a shield, cornice and pilasters. A later entrance is located on the north side, featuring a brickwork panel enclosing a canopy supported by brackets.
