Description
The Bothy is a 19th-century building designed in an excessive rustic style. It is a one-storey structure with an attic, featuring a red tile roof that is half-hipped at the west end and gabled at the east. On the south side, there is a dormer adorned with scalloped tiles. The walls are constructed of red brick, using Monk, Flemish, and English bonds, and there is a dentil line at the eaves level of the gable. The building has a high plinth and a projecting stepped stack that rises above the gable. A blank window on the south side has a rubbed flat arch. The west end includes a partially open porch with a staircase on the north side, a blocked entrance, and scalloped tile hanging in the half-gable, along with a window. The Bothy is included for its group value.
