Description

Fair Oak Cottage is a building that dates from the 17th and 18th centuries, with some modern alterations. It stands two storeys high and features irregular window arrangements. The roof is tiled and has a half-hip at the south end, with a central stack that has a shaft and a tapered stack attached to the north gable. The central part of the cottage has exposed timber framing, while the upper gables are also timber framed, with red brick infill and other walling constructed in Flemish bond. The windows are casements, and there is a plain door with a canopy. The cottage has been modernised.
