Description
Goodchild's House is an 18th-century building that has been modernised. It is two storeys high with a regular front (east) featuring four windows. The roof is half-hipped and covered with tiles, and there are three new gabled dormers. The walls are made of red brick laid in Flemish bond, with a band at the first floor and another at the second floor in the end gables. The building features rubbed flat arches and a plinth. The windows have modern sashes set in exposed frames, and one ground-floor window has replaced a door. The entrance is framed by a Victorian classical doorcase, which includes a moulded canopy supported by carved brackets and an architrave that surrounds a five-light fanlight and a six-panelled door.
