Description
Ivy Cottage and Stable Cottage, dating from the 18th and 19th centuries, were originally a single unit within a symmetrical farm and are now two separate dwellings. The buildings are two storeys high and feature five windows. They have a hipped tile roof with brick dentil eaves and a slate roof above the rear outshot. The walls are painted brick, with cambered openings on the ground floor. The centre of the ground floor has a wide opening that has been filled, framed by pilasters that support a cornice and a pediment made of brick. The upper level has casement windows, and the central blank panel now displays a lead plaque featuring a peacock design. The ground floor includes eight Victorian sash windows and two plain doors in each outer bay, all set within an open gabled porch made of rustic poles.
