Description
Dummer House is a building from the 18th and 19th centuries, featuring two storeys and an attic. The north front has a symmetrical arrangement of windows in a 3.5.5 pattern. It has a hipped slate roof, with a slightly projecting center that includes a pediment above a three-light lunette sash window. The walls are finished in stucco, with a parapet that has coping, and a cornice adorned with full entablature mouldings, where the frieze displays alternating circular and grooved motifs. The stone cills and plinth add to the structure's detail. The sashes are set in exposed frames, and the five first-floor windows in the center are round-headed. A later addition is a solid classical porch, featuring panelled pilasters and a modillion cornice. The porch has an eight-panelled door surrounded by ornamental glazing, and a wrought-iron rail with a central circular motif runs around the top. The east end of the house has full-height semi-circular walling that contains three windows.
