Description

Lime Tree Cottage is a late 18th century building that features a late medieval cruck frame. It is a one-storey structure with an attic and has three windows. The cottage has a thatched roof that is hipped on the west side, with eyebrows above the upper windows and cills at eaves level. The walls are made of red brick, laid in English and Monk bonds, with cambered openings on the ground floor. The windows are casements. There is an open gabled porch that is tiled and has trellis sides. Inside, the building retains its timber (cruck) framing.
