Description

This is a portion of the 14th century town walls located to the south of Cinque Ports Street and adjoining Wish Ward. The wall runs behind the properties numbered 1, 3, 5, and 7, before being interrupted for approximately 20 feet. It then continues as the north wall of Needles Cottage, which is accessed via Needles Passage. This passage features several steps that cross over the line of the wall. The wall extends at the rear of the adjoining properties on the east side of Needles Passage.
