Description
This is an 18th-century building located on High Street. The facade facing The Mint consists of a 20-foot-high stone wall; the lower six inches project and are likely part of the medieval town wall, while the upper portion of the wall is probably later. A modern door is present. The Wish Wand elevation is brick built and extends to three storeys, with three windows and blocked-up former loft doorways. A projecting iron arm is also visible on this elevation. The building was likely originally a warehouse associated with The Strand. Numbers 50 to 55 High Street form a group.
